MBBS Course Duration in Georgia
The MBBS course at the Georgian National University is divided into five parts and 12 semesters. The topics studied in the 1st and 2nd semester are- Anatomy and Histology, in 3rd and 4th semester they are Histology, Biochemistry, Anatomy, Physiology and Microbiology. Study of pathology, physiology, microbiology and pharmacology dominates the 5th and the 6th semester while the 7th to 12th semester includes the study of Clinical Subjects: Internal Medicine, Oncology, Psychology, Neurology, General Surgery, Paediatrics, ENT, Emergency Medicine, Gynaecology, & Cardiology.
The complete MBBS program at the Georgian National University is of 6 years in which first 5 years is allotted for academic program, and 1 year is allotted for internship or clerkship.
