    KYB is a diagnostic test taken at the time of admission at DEC. It is designed to assess the English level of our students with reference to CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for languages). Based on the level achieved in KYB we offer our students customised training to help them achieve their specific needs.

    IELTS Academic Training is designed for those applying to higher education and it focuses on academic language and contexts. Whereas, IELTS General Training is more about everyday English and is to be taken if the purpose is immigration and wish to study at a below degree level or vocational courses.

    The IELTS exam is offered multiple times in a month, but its availability may vary as per the location.

    You can book an IELTS test through DEC by simply visiting our centre. Make sure to book your test well in advance.

    Carry the original copy of passport or national ID that is used at the time of booking the test. Also, a copy of exam confirmation received through e-mail.

    Yes, candidates are allowed to retake the IELTS test as many times as they want.

    Re-evaluation of the test is available but it is a chargeable service. It should be requested within 6 weeks of receiving your results. It can be requested for the whole IELTS test or for one or more modules. Result of it will be available within 2 or 21 days of rechecking application done. There is a cost for requesting a remark. If band scores change, the fee paid for rechecking is refunded. Rechecking may lead to scores either going up, down, or remaining the same.

    There’s no passing or failing in the IELTS exam, but it is about meeting the required score for candidates preferred institute.
