GRE General Test Format
It is a section adaptive test meaning the difficulty level changes as the test taker answers them.
The Analytical Writing section will always be first. The Verbal Reasoning and Quantitative Reasoning sections may appear in any order after the Analytical Writing section.
It lets students skip questions and go back to previous questions in a section.
There is no negative marking in the GRE General exam.
The GRE General Test is allowed to be once every 21 days, up to five times within any continuous rolling 12-month period (365 days). This applies even if candidates cancel and reschedule scores on a test taken previously.
